Here is an interesting meteorology activity by the National Hurricane Center, for 4th, 5th, & 6th graders.
“These webinars will focus on the job of a meteorologist, the weather hazards that come with hurricanes, and how meteorologists get you the weather information you need before a storm.
“Registration links available about a week before the webinar is conducted (on the second page of this notice). We can only accommodate 500 participants for each webinar, so please only register for one of the two identical webinars provided for your region. Future info on the #HurricanesAtHome webinars will be available on NHC’s social media accounts:
During this challenging time of COVID-19 school closing, we have moved to a distance learning model that, thanks to both our families’ patience and support and our teachers hard work, seems to be working very well.
We are sharing various things to support and enhance these efforts on our school’s Facebook Page (like & follow it if you haven’t already). To make finding the activities easier, we have tagged them with the hashtags:
#DistanceLearning for those activities that are instructional as well as having other educational merit, and
#VirtualFieldTrips which are activities and websites that can be used as lessons as well as just fun! These can be great activities even after the non COVID-19 closings.
To make finding these easier, if you click on the hashtag, it will automatically filter those posts so you don’t have to scroll through the entire page.
