Acworth, Georgia (March 31, 2022) – Brookwood Christian School has received a Cobb EMC Community Foundation sponsorship to update and expand playground space.
We saw a 50% increase in enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year. The COVID-19 pandemic made parents more aware of their children’s weaknesses and struggles and has driven them to seek the help they need.
With the increase in our enrollment, we need to increase our outdoor play & exercise area to accommodate both our lower grade students and our older students, as their interests and needs differ. Fortunately we have the space, but we need funding for the preparation and equipment.
“We have always held outdoor learning experiences as a key component of our curriculum, long before COVID-19,” said principal, Kim Wigington. “As studies show, we notice the increase in attention and engagement of the students after outdoor play, exercise, and learning activities.”
This sponsorship will help with the upgrades & expansion of our playground space.
