We Received 2 Local COVID Grants!

Acworth, Georgia (October 28, 2020) – As Dyslexia Awareness Month comes to an end, we want to give huge thanks for two COVID relief grants that will help us keep our staff at a size to keep our class sizes small and safe, as well as for all the COVID related expenses we now have.

On October 7 we received $6,980 from the City of Acworth’s Acworth CARES Grant. Brookwood Christian was one of many Acworth Businesses that received this grant designed to help out with issues dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Today we learned that we received a $15,000 Not-for-Profit Relief Grant from the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce. This grant is to be spent on personnel and other COVID related activities.

Both the City of Acworth and the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce have supported our school and our mission to help students with reading challenges, and this just shows how much they truly care about not only our business and cause, but also how much they both support local businesses and non-profits.
