3rd Annual Ladies Tea & Silent Auction

This year’s Ladies Tea & Silent Auction was the most successful ever!  We had a goal of 40 guests and to raise $5,000, both of which we exceeded.  We had 75 ladies join us for this event, and to say we were crowded is an understatement, but it was so much fun.  Abbie Parks spoke to us about “Women Who Made a Difference in Acworth” and we concluded with our silent auction which raised Continue reading “3rd Annual Ladies Tea & Silent Auction”

Congratulations Aaron!

Aaron will be participating in the International Futbol X-change Program (IFX Soccer) after graduation! Plans include living with a host family on the Isle of Wight and in 2 years earn what they call a level 3 diploma (similar to an Associates Degree) in Physical Education. Aaron will also practice and play with an AFC Bournemouth League Team. Currently Bournemouth is a member of the Premier League and they have farm teams under that level. Supporting Leo Mazzone Fundraiser

We were proud to support Leo Mazzone’s fundraising drive at Gabriel’s at the Old Mill during the Acworth Business Association‘s monthly Alive After 5 social event.

Mazzone, former Atlanta Braves Pitching Coach (1979-2005), was raising money for Companion Animal Connection, a non-profit, no kill dog and cat rescue.   Continue reading “Supporting Leo Mazzone Fundraiser”

Way to go Keyeion!

Keyeion has been selected to participate in The Smithsonian Student Adventures 2017 Costa Rica 10 Day Surf & Service Program where students learn to surf from local professionals, practice Spanish language skills with locals, and contribute towards an environmental service project.

In addition to fundraising $1000 by himself, he was also awarded a $700 Journalism Fellows Scholarship by The Smithsonian Student Adventures program!
